Jika kita membaca artikel System Thinking Method oleh Geoff McDonnel (April 4, 2015) yang mengembangkan Barry Richmond’s 7 Thinking Skills in Systems Thinking seperti Artikel terlampir, maka kita bisa melihat bahwa banyak elemen Traditional Skills (Traditional Thinking) yang diterapkan dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia seperti: berpikir LINEAR bukan CLOSED LOOP Thinking, dll (lihat bagan terlampir di atas).
Silakan baca mayoritas Tesis dan Disertasi di Indonesia, mereka sedang menerapkan Traditional Thinking (Traditional Skills) yaitu: menerapkan Proving Truth Thinking—Membuktikan kebenaran MODEL melalui memvalidasi dengan data-data historis (masa lampau). BUKAN Scientific Thinking yaitu mengetahui bagaimana mendefinisikan hipotesis-hipotesis yang dapat diuji.
CATATAN: HANYA memahami Statistical Tools TANPA memahami Statistical Thinking, maka berakibat kita terjebak pada TRADITIONAL Thinking yaitu: melakukan PROVING TRUTH THINKING, BUKAN SCIENTIFIC THINKING!
Sistem Linearitas yang diagung-agungkan di perguruan tinggi, yaitu: seorang professor HARUS memiliki Ijazah S1, S2, dan S3 secara LINEAR atau harus dalam program studi yang sama (TANPA mempedulikan KOMPETENSI dan KUALITAS) akan menghasilkan Guru-guru Besar berpikiran TRADISIONAL BUKAN berpikir SISTEM. Jika guru-guru berpikir TRADISIONAL, bagaimana mungkin lulusan (murid/mahasiswa) bisa berpikir SISTEM?

Is the Education System in Indonesia (from Early Childhood Education to University Education) Developing TRADITIONAL THINKING (TRADITIONAL SKILLS)?
If we read Geoff McDonnel’s System Thinking Method article (April 4, 2015), that developed Barry Richmond’s 7 Thinking Skills in Systems Thinking like the attached article below, then we could see that many elements of Traditional Skills (Thinking) are being applied in the Indonesian education system, such as: LINEAR instead of CLOSED LOOP Thinking, etc. (see the attached chart above).
Please read the majority of Theses and Dissertations in Indonesia; they are applying Traditional Thinking (Traditional Skills) that is: applying Proving Truth Thinking — Proving the truth of MODEL through validating with historical data (past). It is NOT Scientific Thinking, which is knowing how to define hypotheses that can be tested.
NOTE: ONLY understanding Statistical Tools WITHOUT understanding Statistical Thinking makes us to be trapped in TRADITIONAL Thinking, namely: doing PROVING TRUTH THINKING, NOT SCIENTIFIC THINKING!
The glorified Linearity system in university, which is: a professor MUST LINEARLY have Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral degrees or must be in the same study program (WITHOUT worrying about COMPETENCY and QUALITY), will result in producing Professor Doctors who think TRADITIONALLY, NOT think SYSTEMATICALLY. If the teachers think TRADITIONALLY, how can the graduates (students) can think SYSTEMATICALLY?
